1. Purpose
This Code of Conduct exists to maintain a respectful, professional, and collaborative environment within NSU CEC. Every member represents the club, and adherence to these rules is mandatory to ensure integrity, discipline, and growth for all.
2. Hierarchy and Authority
- Club Hierarchy: EB > Sub-EB > In-Charge > GM, PM
- Members within the same designation hold equal rank.
- Decisions made by the current EB panel are final and binding.
2.1 Strict Hierarchy Rules
- No GM or PM is superior to any In-Charge.
- No In-Charge is superior to any Sub-EB.
- No Sub-EB is superior to any EB.
- There are no exceptions, regardless of personal relationships.
3. Respect and Communication
- Greet everyone respectfully when entering the clubroom.
- Official messages may only be posted by EBs, Sub-EBs, and In-Charges.
- Non-emergency posts require prior approval from an In-Charge, Sub-EB, or EB.
- Maintain appropriate tone in physical and digital interactions.
- Misuse of anyone’s name, title, authority, or position is prohibited.
- No favoritism, exclusionary grouping, or clique formation.
- Members must reply to relevant official messages (tasks, deadlines, notices) within a reasonable timeframe.
- Identifiable names must be used in official platforms. Nicknames that conceal identity may be restricted.
4. Clubroom Conduct
- Central chair is reserved strictly for EB members.
- Seating priority must always follow rank.
- Do not leave belongings unattended for long periods.
- No personal storage—bags, instruments, non-CEC materials, or unrelated equipment may not be stored inside the room unless explicitly approved.
- The room cannot be used for non-CEC work without EB approval.
- Maintain cleanliness and return items to their places.
- No food or drinks unless special authorization is given.
5. Access Policy
- Only active members may enter the clubroom.
- Guests or former members require explicit permission and must be introduced by an authorized member.
- Knowingly enabling unauthorized entry is subject to disciplinary action.
6. Responsibilities and Participation
- Attendance in GBMs is mandatory.
- Failing consecutive GBMs requires documented reasoning.
- Inform the assigner before missing deadlines.
- Repeated inactivity without cause may lead to membership consequences.
- Failure to respond to duty-related communication is considered negligence.
7. Confidentiality and Representation
- Internal matters must not be disclosed externally.
- Positive and official achievements may be shared.
- No political, religious, or irrelevant debates inside the clubroom.
8. Disciplinary Process
8.1 Procedure
- Complaint is logged and recorded by Sub-EB or EB.
- Member is informed of the concern and may respond.
- Evidence is reviewed (dates, messages, witnesses).
- Report is escalated to EB.
8.2 Actions
- Verbal Warning
- Written Warning
- Temporary Suspension
- Termination of Membership
EB holds full authority to apply any level of disciplinary action based on severity. In extreme cases, EB may directly terminate a member without prior warnings. All verdicts made by the EB are final.
9. Reporting Misconduct
- Complaints must be submitted through responsible Sub-EBs or In-Charges.
- For confidentiality, members may use the email nsu.cec@northsouth.edu.
- Supporting evidence strengthens fairness and accuracy.
Final communication provided through official channels is treated as formal notice. Members are responsible for being updated.
10. Final Clause
Being part of the club constitutes agreement with this Code of Conduct. EB retains final interpretation authority over all policies, updates, and enforcement decisions.
